  • Sleep training is a loaded term, bringing up strong emotions and opinions. When we had our first child, I was very much against sleep training however, after having my second child it became clear to me that some babies need extra help learning how to sleep. I like that Bryony refers to it as sleep coaching – and some babies need more coaching than others. It was only with Bryony’s care, support and knowledge that we were able to help our daughter develop the skills needed for good sleep. Before approaching Bryony, our daughter would take a while to fall asleep for her naps, only nap for 30 minutes, and only nap in a pram. For her night time sleep she was breastfed to sleep, and would wake soon after. She would then wake multiple times throughout the night, needing rocking or feeding back to sleep, and always ended up in the pram again. Sleep was something that seemed frustrating for her. After only a few days of Bryony’s guidance our little girl was napping and sleeping through the night in her cot, not needing to be rocked, and not needing to be fed to sleep. After a couple of weeks, her sleep schedule became more predictable and she was having a long morning nap. I cannot tell you how all of this helped the relationships in our family. As a mother I am now able to be more present for both my children and give them more predictable, routine-based days – something I believe is important for them to feel safe and secure. Bryony gave us constant care and support throughout the three weeks, listening to what we had to say and empathising with how we were feeling. She was able to give us personalised guidance, making us feel comfortable with the process and allowing it to work for our family as a whole.   • I am so thankful we contacted Bryony and I have already recomended her to friends and family. As soon as we booked the consultation, I felt a load lift off my mind knowing that somebody who knows what they are talking about was going to help us navigate the complicated world of baby sleep. There was nothing unusual about our situation: our 6 month old was being rocked to sleep, waking frequently in the night and doing short naps, which was becoming unsustainable. For me, trying to find a path through so much confusing, often polarised and highly emotive advice out there was becoming a major source of stress.   • After 6 months of our baby only napping in our arms, and 2-hourly wakes at night, we decided that we needed change and reached out to Bryony following a recommendation. From the very beginning, Bryony’s approach was supportive, non-judgemental and kind.   • Bryony has absolutely changed our lives for the better! We were hesitant to begin sleep training due to some of the harsher methods available. Bryony was recommended to us because she provides a gentler approach to sleep training. After our consultation we felt extremely comfortable with Bryony and her approach. Before beginning with Bryony, our 7 Month old had a really difficult time sleeping. We often spent hours rocking him to sleep. He would wake every 30-40 minutes for extended periods throughout the night. This also lead to him grumpy and irritable during the daytime. We couldn't imagine a time where he would sleep well..   • I can't speak highly enough of Bryony's calm and gentle approach. We were struggling with our 16 month old not sleeping through, needing to be rocked and fighting naps. We'd tried leaving her to cry and not only was it unsuccessful it was distressing. We kept thinking she'd grow out of it but eventually decided to get some help.   • I honestly can’t recommend Bryony highly enough. Before we worked with her, our 6 month old baby was only able to breastfeed to sleep and was waking every 1.5-2 hours at night. We felt trapped in this cycle with him and had no idea how to gently change his routine. After 2 and a half weeks with Bryony, he is now able to happily self settle to sleep in his own room and wakes for just one feed each night.   • We started with Bryony when our daughter was 9 months. She was waking every 1.5-2 hours and wanting to be fed each time. Its wasn’t realistic. From the first night we went from 6/7 feeds to just 3 and in just over a week down to 1 feed and now no feeds. Bryony was knowledgeable throughout, sensitive and offered so many reassuring words of encouragement when i thought I was doing something wrong. She was amazing at getting me back on track when I’d lost hope as my daughter got sick twice. My daughter now falls asleep within minutes on her own (no more rocking her to sleep, feeding to sleep or being touched in her cot).   • Me and my wife are so incredibly impressed with the level of knowledge and professionalism and compassion for our situation. That was honestly one of the most important things with us moving forward with sleep training was finding someone we bonded with and trusted as a family. Bryony was so clear and understanding and really made us feel so comfortable. Our situation has dramatically changed, my wife was co sleeping since day 1, feeding all night on demand and was struggling so much as our daughter was waking up 6-8 times on a good night and unable to put her down for naps. With bryonys guidance we’ve gone from that extreme to all naps in her cot and sleeping through most nights with no feeds or sometimes 1-2 wakes up but so easy to settle in her cot and no night feeds at all. We started working with Bryony when our son was almost 19 months, whilst he had never been a terrible sleeper we had definitely fallen into some bad habits we wanted to change. Getting him to sleep was always through rocking him in our arms until he was drowsy, during the night we would have to pat his back until he drifted back to sleep and more often than not we would put him in bed with us from 5.30am hoping he would fall back to sleep. Naps were disjointed and mostly in my arms after 30 minutes in his cot. It was exhausting, unpredictable and something we didn’t know how to move away from.

Our sleep training with Bryony was such an eye opener, we had tried to follow tips we read online or heard from friends but without the in depth step by step guidance we would only make a small amount of progress then be a little lost of where to go next. Chatting to Bryony before, during and after each step was so valuable and we were able to talk through the hurdles and our successes.

We were told at the start of our training that it would likely get worse before it got better, while we undid our bad habits and learnt new routines. Being told this prepared us mentally for the training so when it did get worse, we powered through with Bryony’s support rather than giving up and deciding it wasn’t working, like we had done in the past.

We never thought we would get to this point but our son now has a solid 2 hour nap in his cot and 11-12 hours sleep per night! We have noticed how much happier he is when waking up in the morning, which for us is our biggest win (and the extra sleep, of course).
